Marquee Hire

When it comes to marquees, we've got something for everyone, from smaller easy-up's (gazebo) to full clip frame marquees, including a 10m x 10m clear roof marquee. We have also got all the extras which accompany them, from silk lining to lighting and staging.

Our clip frame marquees are suitable for both soft (grass) and hard (concrete) surfaces, and have sturdy internal frames.  Frame marquees do not have internal centre poles allowing you to maximise your space. While they are usually provided with white walls, there are options to upgrade to clear walls.

Let's Celebrate Event and Party Hire New Zealand made marquees are:

  • Supporting local, made by Baytex in Mount Maunganui

  • UV Protected

  • Made from the highest quality materials

  • Come with a full set of manufacturing certificates for health and safety.

Not sure what size marquee you need for you event. We're here to help!

Use the table below to help you plan which size marquee you will require. Remember, these are the maximum capacities for each type of marquee.

When calculating the size of marquee you need, allow extra for any of the following: performance area / stage / band / kitchen services / dance floors & exit ways.

  • All Let's Celebrate Event and Party Hire marquees are New Zealand made and meet all Health & Safety & Fire standards.

  • All Let's Celebrate Event and Party Hire marquees are made from UV protected fabric, suitable for all weather conditions.

  • Marquees must be installed on a flat, grassed site unless otherwise specified. Let's Celebrate Event and Party Hire assumes marquees are being installed on flat, grassed areas unless specified otherwise and our vehicles have access to the site. Weights are not included in marquee quotes, unless specified. If we arrive at the site and the site is inadequate this is the clients responsibility.

  • Let's Celebrate Event and Party Hire highly recommend and are happy to conduct site a visit, please ask!

  • Some marquee sites may require council consent. This is the responsibility of the hirer, not Let's Celebrate Event and Party Hire, although we are happy to help where needed to make sure receiving council consent is a stress free and simple procedure.

The New Zealand Building Code (NZBC) requires each marquee, or each group of marquees, to obtain a building consent for the relevant local authority, eg Auckland City Council, if the marquee is over 100m2 in size on public or private property.
It is always the responsibility of the land owner to obtain building consents and to ensure that the marquee complies with all temporary building and fire safety requirements under the NZBC. If the land owner is not the hirer of our equipment, then it is the hirer’s responsibility to obtain consent. If requested, Let's Celecbrate Event and Party Hire will arrange for consent on your behalf – please consult us for consent fees. Let's Celebrate Event and Party Hire strongly recommends you understand and comply with all required laws and regulations relating to marquees, fire safety and functions and events. When hiring our equipment you will be deemed to have complied with such rules and regulations, even if we install marquee(s) or other equipment on your behalf.

The “person in charge” (or the equipment hirer) of a function or event is responsible for ensuring the marquee remains code-compliant at all times. This includes ensuring all required safety equipment is present and that exit routes from the marquee are not obstructed.

The “person in charge” of a function or event is also responsible for ensuring the safe and legal use of all dangerous or hazardous goods. This includes the use of diesel, kerosene and LPG for heating and cooking appliances.
